Learn SiteStash in ten minutes.

Short steps you can follow on site. Start at the top, or jump to what you need.

1. Get set up

  1. Install it

Put SiteStash on your Home Screen from the browser. It takes two minutes on iPhone or Android.

Always open it from the Home Screen icon. The browser keeps separate storage, so photos taken there won't show in the app.

    Install steps
  2. Connect your drive

Open the menu, tap the Settings gear at the top, then Photos & Drive. Tap Sign in with Microsoft or Sign in with Google. You can connect both.

SiteStash can only see the files it creates. Never the rest of your drive.

  3. Add your projects

Open the menu and, under Organize, tap Projects and Folders. Add the jobs you're on and the folders you file into, like Estimates or Rough-in. You can also add a project on the spot with + New project… when you save a batch.

2. Shoot and send

  1. Take a batch

Tap Take photos and shoot as many as you need. Photos and video both work. Tap Done when you're finished.

  2. Name it once

Give the batch one name, pick the project and the folder, then tap Save and send. Every photo in the batch gets the same name, numbered.

  3. Find it in your drive

Look in SiteStash / your project / your folder. The batch is a dated folder with the photos numbered inside. It opens on any computer, no app needed.

  • Save for later

Still shooting? Tap Save for later. The batch stays on your phone. Add to it and send it once.

  • Save to phone

Keep a copy in your camera roll when you want one, as well as in your drive.

  • No signal?

Keep shooting. Batches wait on your phone and send on their own once you have signal, while the app is open.

3. Pro tools

Turn these on under Pro Features in the menu. Pro is free while SiteStash is new.

  • Date and time stamp

Date, time and project printed on each photo.

  • Photo locations

Records where each photo is taken (GPS) and shows them on a map of the area.

  • Levels

Pick the floor in the camera; it goes on every photo after.

  • Photo report

A PDF of a batch with your logo and captions.

  • Scan documents

Turn a packing slip or drawing into a searchable PDF.

  • Markup

Arrows, circles, boxes and text on a photo: the pencil after a shot, or Mark up on any photo.

  • Voice name

Say each photo's name after taking it: "DP dash EWB dash 1" is saved as DP-EWB-1.

  • Voice caption

Say each photo's caption after taking it, instead of typing it.

  • Quick comments

Comments you type again and again, saved with a short title. Tap the title to add it to a photo's description.

4. Share a project

  1. Share a project

Open the menu, tap Shared Projects, then Share a project. Pick the project and tap Start. Connect your drive first: everyone's photos go into it.

  2. Invite people

Type each person's email and tap Invite. Then tap Send invite beside their name to text or email them the link. They open it, sign in, and they're on.

  3. Everyone files to one place

Photos from everyone on the project land in the same project folder in your drive.
